UltraStar Cheerleading Academy is an enthusiastic, encouraging and empowering recreational cheerleading programme which has been running since 2018. Our aim is to provide an environment where children feel confident and inspired within all areas of cheerleading. What is Cheerleading? Cheerleading is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK. It is a team based sport which involves stunting (lifts), tumbling (gymnastics skills), jumps & dance across a combination of both individual and group skills. These skills are used to create a routine which can be used in performances, competitions. UltraStar Elite has been designed for cheerleaders who are looking for a challenge, performance/competition opportunities and leadership responsibilities. Cheerleaders will have the opportunity to become junior coaches within their recreational teams, perform at events throughout the year and attend the Cheerleading competitions such as ICE and Gloucester Cheer Competition in November 2024 & April 2025. Elite team members will be representing UltraStar throughout the year and will be role models to their peers. All cheerleaders have the opportunity to take part in several performances throughout the year, including our winter and summer showcase. Our showcases will bring together children from the UltraStar Programme and our after school clubs to celebrate their achievements and perform to family and friends.
